This past weekend has been hectic. I drank alot.

Here is a great tune from Chris Kaeser & Linda Newman. This was first released in 2007 but was rereleased this summer. It is an awsome party tune wich will make pretty much everyone feel like fire!

Happy Days

Who ever said Mondays were crappy days? Oh, was´nt it that guy Kid Karate? Guess he never experienced my Mondays – known as happy days – especially the one of yesterday. The club “Thank god it´s Monday (which I always want to renmame Manic Monday, as I had an idea a few years ago of starting that concept) was hosted by the club Berså and Dj Mikael Weermets turned wax. So plans of havin´ a few beers turned into havin´ a few bottles of Vodka and champagne. And it all ended up at a strip joint with private shows.

So gess you could say I´m a bit hangovered and just slightly regretful due to the massive gap on my bank account today.

So, let it be said, I need some fuckin basslines to pump up the pressure in my veins and knock out all indications of a postoverconsumptiondepression.

It is a track for the hot ladies to croon to the envious, jealous and boring girls with hot boyfriends. Or lets just say that it´s some vocals for me to croon while my brother is around.

Monday Madness

Do you ever get the feeling that Monday is THE most crappy day of the week? Your bank account shows nothing but stupid zeros and your mind is about to blow up because of all the shit you stuffed your mouth full of the previous three days. “Misery” is the right term I believe. But people, do not despair! From now on mondays will never be as tragic as they were before and you know why? The Monday Madness tune will bring you light in this dark time at the beginning of the week.  Yay yay bla bla EN FUCKING JOY!

A classic track has been reinvented and will surely play clubs around the globe this autumn. Unfortunately the quality isn’t very good and we are impatiently waiting for the full 320 release. Until then this will do dodelie dodeli fine.

I have this evening stumbled across two fantastic unreleased tracks! The first one is from the young Swedish producer and DJ, Henrik B. This tune has a sort of Dahlback sound over it and that is probably why I like it so much. To add a vocal to this would probably make it more sick than it already is. The quality is a bit bad but the track is yet so beautiful

 This spring Pryda has really been pumping out major tracks with a quality that very few producers can compare with. This next one was played on Radio 1 not so long ago and absolutely blew my mind. Hopefully it will blow yours too :)

I know I already gave you a dope tip regarding Kavinsky. But I just want to make sure you really check out A-Trak´s mash up with the brittish/sri lankan hustler chick M.I.A. You probabley know her from her track “Paper Planes” which been played quite frequently for some time now. Some of you might even know a lot more than just that single track. How ever, thats not the topic. The topic is this outrageous mash up that keep reminding us of the electronic glory days of the 80´s. Lean back and fasten your arcade seat belt ´cause this gonna be one hell of a ride!

Poster Bombing and electronic retro

Just a photo I took downtown a few days ago. I believe club posters have become some kinda of an urban artform now a days. And I guess the revival of the electronic retro music is quite responsible for this; the posters are more colorful, more graphical and generally more thoughtful done since the competition between the various clubs grows tougher and tougher.

Now some music huh?

Well ofcourse!

Speakin´ of electronic music with a retro vibe, well there´s no one with a sound like Kavinsky. Any one who ever loved playing videogames as a kid will love this electro producin´ master from Paris. Sit back, close your eyes and just reminise playin´ those awesome games of the 80´s.

First we heard songs as Testarossa Autodrive, Grand Canyon and Wayfarer – now we get blown away by the next Testarossa-song: Testarossa Night Drive. And I´m tellin you, the whole EP “Teddy Boy” is some well worth shit, especially for anyone who ever loved videogames and arcade halls.

Fukkk Offf!

Well, no one ever accused me for being too polite. And regarding this electro producing criminals from Hamburg, I would´nt accuse them for being too nice to your ears. The first time a had the luck so stumble across their track “I´m a freak” I got so scarred I tried to flee the room and run to my mom so she could whipe my pathetic and innocent tears. My ears never forgave me for this small stumbling steps but my brain got addicted and could just not get enough of this brutal sound. A sound so mindblowing it leaves you naked on the floor raped so hard no post-rape shower in the world can wash the steins off of your filthy body. You´re trapped, trapped in an endless search for an even more brutal and murdering sound, you were a healthy human, now – your´re an electro-junkie.

Reminise

I was fresh! Fresh as fresh can be, about 18 and I stood at the doorstep to what was to become the club oriented musical journey of my life. With friends  working as special events organizer on various nightclubs I already had some doors open. So there I stood, a young kid with a like for alcohol, women and late night shows. With my fresh ID i my hand i stood in the VIP line to the club where my friends arranged this party tonight.

Young girls with tiny dresses and young guys dressed to the teeth – a beautiful line filled with the expectations of youthful minds.

I came up to the bouncer.

- Ehh, I´m on the list.

- Name! The bouncer replied.

- Ehh, well, Alex …

- Surname?

So, I gave him my full name, he checked the list, crossed over a name with his pen and replied politely:

- Welcome!

A life of clubbing could be considered opened.

The first track to really hit my brain so hard I got a scent of whiplash was Benny Benassis “Satisfaction”. I became addicted that night. And ever since that day House Music has been a vital part of my life.

On this blog I will let you all in to my musical world; the music that affects my brain so hard I wanna bang my head against a brick wall.
